Hrt - is it working?

I'm 52, last natural period October 2016, I've been using Evorel Sequi patches for two months, just into third month.

I've had a 7 day period each time starting half way during fourth week of patches. The hot flushes have stopped. I sleep ok. But I feel really ratty and hopeless during the second half of the month. Also have very tender breasts.

I'm guessing this is due to the progesterone in the patches - norethisterone.

I'm not sure if this is normal but it is causing problems in my relationship as everything seems hopeless then.

I've an appointment at the end of August to discuss the hrt, whether it's suitable. Should I be asking for something else? Or is it early days yet? Or is this normal with hrt?

Thanks for any advice.

Also can I expect to gain weight on hrt or is this just down to the menopause?
