I woke soaked in sweat last night. Had really tender boobs since my last period which started 19 days ago and lasted 6 days with flooding the first couple of days and had a one day period 6 days before that. I started bleeding again this morning. It's driving me crazy. I get back cramps, tearful and anxious. I'm 46 and this irregular bleeding has been going on a few months now. The hot at night and waking up drenched is hit and miss with no regular pattern. My last smear was a 7 weeks ago and fine. I had bv a few months ago and took antibiotics. I can sense that's fine too. Is this just peri? Can I do anything about it? I'm also suffering terrible insomnia. Thanks in advance. I'm not averse to Hrt. I'm concerned it could be something more sinister. I've also been experiencing shortness of breath. Interestingly no problems when I'm running with my breathing. Any advice will be gratefully received. I've made a gp appointment. 4 week wait!
