Hi, just joined in today, i am 50, perimenopausal, a few irregular periods and nasty achy joints, i mean, awful sore hips, lower back, clicky joints, sleep not great either. Lady menopause doctor at my local clinic put me on Femoston 1/10mg 14 days ago, will start the grey pills tomorrow. After the first 8 days had a few side effects ie spaced out feeling, headache which subsided after a couple of days. Unfortunately the other side effect was that my joint pains got far worse, spreading to shoulders, neck, ankles, you names every joint, muscles too feeling sooo achy, and these horrible aches have not gone, i am hoping to speak to someone who experienced these problems and get info on it.

I had some joint pain, but not as bad as you have experienced. Have found that yoga helps with mine. No experience of Femoston though.

Thank you for your message spongebob, been doing yoga every day for years, joint pains got steadily worse over the last 5 years regardless of how much stretching etc i do, very frustrating!

Ah. That is frustrating. I think I have read somewhere that the joint stuff gets better after menopause, but I can't remember where...not very helpful. Grin
