I think I am starting my menopause..Right age.. I have been on my period for weeks...Starting to really get me down.

Can I ask was GP any help for people in same position? Tried googling not got far on helpful info.

And yes, you shouldn't bleed for weeks, so definitely ask you GP or gyn.

See your GP. This amount of bleeding can be treated with drugs and other things.

Hi folks,

We're just moving this one over to our menopause topic for the OP.

Saw GP today, She thinks I am perimenopause, however has given me tablets to stop me bleeding, sent me for blood tests , I am going for an ultrasound and she is going to see me in a month if nothing abnormal on tests.

She has also put me on anti biotics as I have had a cough for 4 weeks to see if it shifts it.
