Anyone have a good experience with utrogestan?

I read such mixed reports, I wondered if anyone has a good experience with utrogestan?

I worry about the grogginess in the morning, and the general feeling of sedation. I have a very young active son!

That's the problem: reading other reports!
You can't know how you will feel- everyone is different.

Have you tried it yet?

I've used it for almost 4 years. It's fine. Yes, I feel slightly sleepier when I get up, sometimes, but for the first week of a 10 day course I can't tell I'm taking anything, then the sedative factor kicks in a bit. But it's not an issue. I still work at a job that needs brainpower and being 'on the ball'.

I think it's a mistake to anticipate side effects because the mind is very powerful; if you go looking for side effects you may well find them! Have an open mind and don't anticipate bad stuff is my advice.

That's a good point. Thanks. I need to shake off other people's opinions. I guess, also, that most people post on forums when they have something negative to say. I know utrogestan is the goldmark standard for progesterone in HRT.

I haven't tried it yet, no.

Exactly!
I post on here a lot (probably too much :) ) but I don't think I ever start a thread to talk about how wonderful my HRT is or how much I love it! I may comment on it in replying to someone but you are right- people with positive HRT experiences are getting on with life, not joining forums to say how good it is! You get a skewed set of experiences TBH on forums.

A bit late to this thread but I am on this and haven't noticed much in the way of side effects certainly less sleepy on her than I was before with very little sleep.

I love mine.
I take 100mg vaginally for 7-10 days a month and have a withdrawal bleed.

Makes my skin and hair amazing, and no bad side effects. No mood swings, no sleepiness.
