Hi,
I've got chronic word loss and my ability to hold onto information, precis and analyse has deteriorated... I'm 43, periods regularise, but getting closer together. Sleep patterns changed too (waking early, some night waking both of which is highly unusual for me). I'm concerned about pourable early onset Alzheimer's, but could this be diem to hormones... is there anyway of finding out?

It's old age.

But yes, typical peri menopause.

I'm post meno but on HRT; the days of sleeping like a log right through the night are long gone.

You need to log all your symptoms and if they get worse, think about HRT because at 43 you are on the young side for meno.
