Sudden bleeding on Elleste duet

Ve been on Elleste duet for 7 years without a problem.
Eight days from the end of the packet i started bleeding. I hadn't missed one as I know when each packet finishes. Continued to end, am 2 days into new packet and still bleeding.
I'm going away next Thursday and this will bugger up my plans.
Is it worth going to the doctors ( assuming I can get an appointment) ?

I'm a bit confused...

That type of HRT is sequi, meaning you ought to have a bleed every 4 weeks, roughly 3 days after the last tablet in each pack.

Have you not been having regular withdrawal bleeds? None in 7 years?

(Evidently around 20% of women don't.)

However, it sounds as if your bleed has come and it's making up for all the missed bleeds so far.

OR if you are still quite young, (under 53-ish) your own cycle has overridden the HRT as you are not post meno, and this is a natural period.

If you have never ever had a bleed in 7 years on it I'd see your dr and they should arrange an ultrasound scan to check all is ok. But you won't get that before hols.

Sorry- I thought you meant no bleed in 7 years whereas you seem to be saying ' no problems'!

If this is early , then it sounds like your own cycle kicking in. It depends on how old you are and where you are in meno. If you are many years post meno you ought to see your GP. if you are not, then it's likely to be your own hormones.

See your Gp they can give you some meds to stop /lessen the bleeding.
And ask for a scan. If this is out of the ordinary it needs looking at.
