Period after nine months is this an April fools?

I stopped smoking eight weeksago could it be related? My hot flushes stopped as well now today ive got a period like they never went away. Whats going on?

'fraid that's par for the course with peri meno. Post meno is classed as 12 months after a last period. Until you have gone for a year ( or maybe a few months longer even) you can expect return of periods at any time.
