Spotting past the menopause

I am freaking out. I have a hospital phobia .
I have noticed a slight brown spotting last two nights, barely noticable. Last period was three years ago and I googled and of course they were all worse case scenario apart from HRT which I have never had so now I am filled with anxiety.
Smear overdue by about 2 years as well due to putting myself last in the scheme of things (plus I hate it)
I have made myself feel really anxious and sick with worry, it's bad isn't it?

I understand but you must see your GP.

There can be all kinds of reasons - small polyp, cervical erosion (nothing to do with cancer), vaginal atrophy ( tissues bleed if they are dry...)

Your GP will refer you for a scan and perhaps a little look in your uterus with a tiny camera all of which can be done without a GA.

Just go!

Thanks for your reply.
I am just in such a state of panic, I am not even sure if I have cramping pain like period pain or imagining it.
My mind is running away with itself and I feel sick.
