Do I need to see a doctor yet?

I'm 43 with very regular periods, until December that is, I've not had one since. No other symptoms apart from usual pre-menstrual feeling every now and again making me think something is going to happen. Done a pregnancy test this week, negative. Feeling fine, but never full of energy (can't remember the last time I did) and libido is not what it used to be!

Do I need to visit my GP at this stage or would you give it a bit longer? Don't want to waste their time. I had a dermoid cyst and one ovary removed 6 years ago.

I think the usual advice is monitor periods for 6 months to see if this is a pattern rather than a one-off. At 43 if they go AWOL then you do need to see your GP and discuss HRT as prevention for serious illnesses caused by early meno.
