Hormonal bloating

I suffer with significant hormonal bloating, I am fine when I get up in the morning, but usually by late afternoon I feel bloated, uncomfortable and huge.

I drink plenty of water and am gluten free as I realised this made my symptoms significantly worse. I also keep dairy to a minimum.

I wondered if anyone had any tips in alleviating this problem.

TIA

What do you mean by bloating? Do you feel 'fat'?
Have you got wind? :)

How do you know it's hormonal? It usually only happens on the progestogen part of a cycle.

It's normal to weigh more in the afternoon and evenings compared to when we wake up- the scales can show a difference of up to 2kls! You might just be drinking too much water.

Hi again Polly, thank you for replying, it never ends does it! Yes, I feel fat and my stomach looks huge, and very gassy and gurgly. It's really uncomfortable. I drink about three litres of water a day, could this be too much? I don't know that it's hormonal, I tend to put most troublesome symptoms down to that, maybe incorrectly.

I have looked at my diet and can't really relate it to anything in particular, apart from the wheat and gluten which I cut out over a year ago.
