I originally hijacked another thread - but thought it was worth creating a new one.

This was the original thread about Murderous Rage

I had a great appointment with my doctor today who prescribed my first round of HRT.

I read many many threads on here.
As recommended by PollyPerky, I read the NICE guidlines
I devoured the Menopause Matters website.

I asked for Elleste Duet 1mg
I got Elleste Duet 1mg.
I've got three months worth. If I don't feel the 1mg is enough after taking the first month, I can choose myself to double up to 2mg. I don't need to go back and ask. At my next appointment I will then get a 2mg prescription.

The doctor said it made his job very easy that I'd done all my homework. He asked me a couple of questions about why I'd chosen what I had. He said afterwards he was just curious to know how far my research had gone!!

So a big big thank you to everyone on here and all the information there is.

Also a thank you to golf buggy for starting the original thread about murderous rage, without which I may not have been as well prepared as I was.

I'm so pleased you got what you wanted and you've taken the time to report back here!

Hope it all goes well for you. Flowers

If you have any hiccups, bear in mind that it's the nasty progestogens that are often the bad guys in HRT , so consider swapping to a different type if necessary. You can go 'a la carte'- oestrogen as pill, patch or gel, plus a progestogen.
