Not hot flashes but long long spells of just being hot !

I read all the time about people having hot flashes which can last up to 5 mins.. I have never had these BUT I do get warm/hot spells that go on for ages..by this I mean it can be up to 45 mins or more..

.....does anyone else suffer from this ?

I also get this weird skin crawling scenario just before it ...I never seem to read anything about long warm spells like this..surely I am not the only woman who gets these ?

I have heard of it, but I am usually too cold . I get too hot in exercise classes, but nothing in between.

The skin crawling is called 'formication' (as in ants).

Thanks whatevva I looked up formication - that seems to be more extreme than I get - it's very difficult to describe....

Maybe your ants are just small ones .

Some people have palpatations before flushes, so I expect what you are experiencing is probably a variation on normal.

I have only ever had the night time sweats, so I have no idea what happens - just wake up in a puddle .

Do you have a long wait for your appointment?

It's on Monday - thank god ! I have actually been trying to pay attention to these flashes to see what happens - I get the weird skin feeling from my feet, up my legs then the warmth starts in my neck area and consumes my whole chest and head area..sick of it really..
