I'm due on tomorrow and this afternoon I have been feeling as though I'm going to explode internally. Like an overwhelming feeling of something but I don't know what.
Self diagnosed peri stage from symptoms for a year.
But this today is something else.
Am I going mad?? X

I get something very similar. I'm convinced I'm peri (even though i'm only 33.) I have terrible anxiety and feelings of aggression, and a feeling of impending doom just before my period arrives.

Hi bum grapes
I'm only 39 but early no runs in the family.
Today has been spectacularly mind blowing! X

Watching with interest. I am getting worse just before due on. Cross/emotional. Really need to do something about it but have no idea what!

I thought you meant like horrible pressure feelings because I definitely get that. I'm 34 though and I think late menopause runs in my family as there have been lots of 40-50yo mums

Hi there- I posted a few months ago with what i believed to be peri-menopausal symptoms and, more specifically, awful PMS. After various medical interventions I have been given zoladex- an implant which will put me into a chemical menopause and then i have add-back hrt. the reasoning is that it's supposedly hormonal fluctuations that i can't cope with and i still need oestrogen (given at a steady rate) at age 43 for bone health. i will let you know how it all pans out for me but i'm pretty optimistic.
unfortunately the implant is a temporary measure and if it works i'll have hysterectomy plus removal of ovaries- plus oestrogen-only hrt (you only need to take progesterone to make you bleed and no womb means no need to bleed! it seems that progesterone can be difficult for some women- like me- to tolerate so i'd be happy not to take it)
the gynae diagnosed me with pmdd and while a hysterectomy might seem drastic i have absolutely no worries whatsoever- the past few years and particularly the last year have been unbearable!!
