Hi I have been taking Elleste 1mg tablets for 3 weeks and although the intensity of the hot flushes has reduced not the frequency at night. Not sure if not given it long enough but some people seem to be saying stopped symptoms within 3 days. Not sure if high enough strength. Any other people's experiences gratefully received

All HRT should be given 3 months to see how you go then re-assess.

It takes a while to work it out - some things get better straight away and some things don't. It took me a week of feeling spaced out before anything started to happen.

I started this one month ago. Hot flushes and horrendous night sweats all gone after about 2 weeks of treatment BUT I had mild nausea and indigestion for the first 3 weeks, a bit like mild morning sickness which really made life miserable at the time. I changed the timing from morning to evening, took gaviscon and a PPI (reduces stomach acid) for a few days and its now gone. This week on day 1 of my new pack I started my period (hadn't had a proper one for probably 4 or 5 months) and it's the heaviest ever. Not sure if its just cos I haven't had one for ages or if this is how its going to be...
Really glad I can sleep, really glad the nausea had gone, not so amused at the flooding this week but I can just about cope with it. Any similar experiences?
