Missing periods with no obvious menopause symptoms?

Hi
Just really looking for some views ( and I do no I should book a Drs appointment but I'm a bit scared - also I always dreamt of another child)
So whilst having fertility issues around the age of 37 I was told I had a low ovarian reserve - my periods were really close together etc etc.
Luckily I conceived naturally at 39 GrinGrinGrinGrin but since I had my son ( and stopped bf) my periods have never been the same. I am now 43
So in the past year my periods have been roughly every 3 months.
I now haven't had one since late March. I don't feel particularly different though - sex I'm not dry, hot flushes hmm I though in the recent v hot weather I was having some but as the weathers cooled down nothing - so I'm guessing it was the weather not me...
I'm generally happy - years of infertility made me vvvv unhappy so now I have ds everything is generally rosier any way

Is this menopause?

I don't know. It could be, my GP confirmed it with a blood test.
I had horrendous flushes, hormones going haywire, etc.
My friend sailed through - periods stopped and that was it.
I know which one I'd have preferred. Flowers

You ought to see your GP because if your periods stop altogether before 45 that is classed as a premature menopause and the advice is that you use HRT at least up to the age of the average menopause which is 52. This is to protect your bones and heart from early loss of oestrogen.

You are now in peri-menopause. This can last for 10 years (or as little as a couple of years.) You may well not get any other symptoms like hot flushes until your periods have well and truly stopped. I didn't, until I was 53.

One blood test doesn't tell you anything because you need several and even then they only test your hormones on that day.

So- yes, you ought to see your GP not so much for what you are experiencing now, but for longer term health risks if this is an early menopause.

im 42. missed a period despite being sterilised. Taken primolute but no bleeding yet. its been 4 days. pregnancy tests shows negative. What to do?

My menopause started at 43 just like that with periods every 3 months. I kept worrying I was pregnant as I had no obvious menopause symptoms.

Eventually they stopped altogether. i've never had hot flushes but did have a couple of years where I was overly stressful, anxious and unable to think very clearly which I'm sure was due to the menopause.

I took hrt for 2 years which helped he to think clearly again but I recently stopped and feel just fine without it.
