How long did it take for your periods to finally stop?

Two years ago I only had 6 periods, last year 4. I had clocked up 10 months without any when out of the blue I got a normal period. This month another normal period.

Is this usual? I've been having hot flushes for the last 3 yrs and other premenopausal symptoms. Will be very pleased to emerge out the other side of this.

Yes sounds quite usual to me. I had similar before my periods stopped altogether. No period for about 8 months, then 3 periods in a row, then nothing.

How old are you? My meno symptoms started when I was about 46 and I had my last period just after I turned 50.

And yes, it is a relief to be on the other side of it all Smile

Then yes, all entirely usual.

The one benefit for me, when I had periods my meno symptoms would stop for a while.
