If you're taking HRT do you have more 'good' days or 'bad' days?

Only started HRT 3 weeks ago but have decided to keep a Mood Diary to see if there is any pattern to my bouts of very low mood and anxiety.

Also to see if there's an overall improvement in my psychological health over the next 3 months. Luckily, I haven't suffered with any hot flashes/aches or pains really it's all been about mood swings, insomnia and random anxiety for me.

Hopefully I will see a big improvement in the amount of 'good days' I have, else there's little point taking it as I still had 'good' days prior to HRT.

Was just wondering if you feel that HRT has given you far more 'good' days than 'bad' days overall?

I think there may be a danger in focusing too much on your moods. HRT helps, but there are also loads of other lifestyle changes that we need to do to keep healthy- mentally and physically. Assume you are doing these- diet, exercise, keeping mentally active and looking forwards, not backwards?
I have had only good days on HRT but then I was almost 54 when I started using it and hadn't had any moods etc at all other than usual slight PMS. I do have painful periods now with HRT which mean I have to block out 3 days in my diary as can't predict exactly when the bleed will start.

Well in my case I'm only taking HRT for my moods which were getting increasingly severe. So I am very keen to assess how HRT helps your overall mood.

Physically there's been little change during peri menopause except for much lighter periods that were closer together. Have also noticed my hair seems dryer and coarser too?

I have overhauled my diet. Cut out caffeine and most refined sugars. Never really touch alcohol so that's not an issue. Don't do formal exercise but I'm on my feet all day at work. My weight is fine for my height.
