Bleeding

I have been on Evoral 50 patches for a few months now. All my menopause symptoms have stopped & I am sleeping right through with no hot flushes. However, I have started getting periods every month after not having any for about a year. I'm not bleeding heavily but it is a proper period, but the stomach ache & backache is just horrendous! 3 days now & i'm living on strong painkillers as not much helps. Does anyone know if this is normal. I was forced through the menopause after being prescribed cancer drugs for Arthritis, I'll be 50 in a few months. I'd love any advice anyone can give. Thankyou x

I am not familiar with that HRT, so what are you using?
Is it oestrogen only in the patch or is it combined ( ie do you take sequential HRT which is designed to give a withdrawal bleed= period every month?)

If Evoreal is oestrogen only then are you using /taking a progestogen each month ( tablets)?

No it is a combined one. I have had 5 days of bleeding & stomach ache. I am going to the doc today as I'm getting a bit fed up now.

Actually I'm wrong it's oestrogen only so perhaps you are right. Thank you for the advice.

You can't have oestrogen only unless you have had a hysterectomy.
Why are you not taking sequential HRT which is oestrogen for every day of the month then a progestogen for 10-12 days?

Not surprised you are bleeding because you are building up the lining and not having a regular bleed.

If this is the case, your DR has been negligent.
