How long before it starts working?

Hello, I started Evorel Sequi patches 3 weeks ago and I can't really say that I've noticed much difference. Can anyone tell me how long HRT takes to 'kick in'? Thanks, Dawn.

My symptoms resolved in about 5 days, sorry.

I've been on HRT since 2012 & still no improvement, other than reduced flushes, so at leat that helped the sleeping .Fed up with waiting for the spring chicken feeling everyone else seems to get with it!!

What are you using Floundering?

If you have had no improvement then have you thought about changing to other types? You might need another dose(higher) or a change of delivery (patch or gel instead of tablets.)

Just some ideas for you.

Thanks Pink . My GP (who is otherwise lovely & on the ball) is not really clued up on HRT. SHe was reluctant to try anything stronger initially (was on a dual one Elleste?) and now I'm on a no bleed one but I am getting a few mild night flushes back again so might need increasing.

Plus I've had the side issue of a chronically low Vit D level since 2012 too which has taken mega doses of supplements to get to therapeutic levels, despite me being out every day in all weathers so I have adequate skin exposure.
It has helped a bit but I'm wondering if I've got a thyroid problem as I have a lot of the symptoms, chronic fatigue, ultra dry skin, dry hair having had greasy skin & hair all my life. And my memory,dear god never been good but since the menopause I'm shocking!!

Only been on HRT for 4 weeks now. Estradot 25mg patch and separate Utrogestan 200mg on days 15-26.

I started mid cycle on day 13. First week was very up and down. Still got days of bad anxiety and low mood. Also still getting the insomnia. But did get a couple of good days too.

Second week was much better. Calmer. Sleeping much better. Felt much more like the old me.

Then in the third week my withdrawl bleed started and my mood really, really dipped for the next 6 days. Bad insomnia too. Felt like I was back at square one again

But then last Thursday my mood started to lift and I have felt miles better ever since. Mood really good. No anxiety. Sleep good. But have had quite a sharp headache too. I'm guessing this is the HRT kicking in?

But I know it will take another few weeks to settle in.

Hi ive just started the patches. Did anyone get any side effects. I'm having very bad stomach ache and upset stomach too.
