47 with very regular periods, 27 days. I had the coil out last year and we thought we'd have one final go - my youngest is 13 and me and DP don't have children together. Nothing happened so I put it down to age and his sperm - he works with X-rays and has probably zapped his nuts Grin

Due to the ovulation app I know my periods start bang on when they should and I ovulate exactly when expected, using opks.

My insomnia has been mad this past week, I've been feeling like shit. Headaches, head colds, awful. I was up at 1:30am had hot/cold sweats and wanted to throw up. Sat on the sofa for a second as I thought I was going to faint and conked out for 6 hours. Period was due today, no spotting yesterday. No sign of anything and I'm still feeling a bit woo woo. Is this the start of peri menopause? Any advice appreciated and thanks for reading this far Smile

Really hard to say. What you describe could be a virus or something like that. Any illness can put a cycle out of sync by a few days.
The odds on conceiving at 46-47 are very low anyway regardless of whether you are peri or not.

Apart from you period being late nothing else sounds like meno and I'd say you have got a virus.

You were right! Feeling almost myself today and my period has just started. I did buy a menopause test thing off the internet yesterday but not sure how accurate they are. Thanks Smile

Dont waste any more £££ on a menopause test- even blood tests done by drs are inaccurate because hormones are all over the place daily during peri.
