I am 40+ days without a period this month....
Periods have been all over the place for the last year, and probably longer, just wasn't paying attention or connecting the dots.....
I realize my symptoms are on the mild side at the moment, who knows whats around the corner though...
I am really looking forward to the end of periods, I see it as a really positive thing in my life and can't happen soon enough to be honest. I want to rejoice in this.
I was wondering if anyone had any positive experiences of menopause ???

I think that's a very individual question/answer thing.
You will no doubt get replies from women who say they feel great, love not having periods and PMT and sailed through the menopause.
On the other hand you will get other women who say they have never felt 'right' , have low energy, insomnia, aches and pains etc and have never got rid of their hot flushes.
There will be a range, just like there is for when we are fertile and having periods.
What you have to take on board is that you will be post-meno for 30+ years. It's important that women make lifestyle changes if necessary to prevent the illnesses that are directly linked to loss of oestrogen- osteoporosis and heart disease.
I'm taking HRT for as long as possible because I do have some risk factors for various things that will get worse perhaps without HRT and I feel so much better on it than I did without.
