I have always had short cycles of about 24/25 days.

Last month I got my period on day 23, now just 17 days later I have it again.
Is this most likely the start of Peri-menopause?

No other symptoms really.

Maybe ! Bit too soon to be sure- could just be a 1-off if you've been a bit tired or had some emotional upset.
Best thing is to log it for a few months and see.
Don't worry- these things come and go and it could be stop-start, early or late for up to 10 years! Many women seem to have a few odd cycles then more regular ones and it carries on like that for ages.

I'm 48 and had shorter cycles for a couple of years, however they have now started to lengthen, my last 2 were 45 and 52 days. I've had blood tests but the Dr said I still had a really high level of oEstrogen, so she thinks I'm just at the start of it all. She also warned me that I will still be very fertileHmm Grin

Thank you for the replies. I am used to having short cycles but every 17 days would be horrid :(
