Im going through premature menopause (im 31). Im on hrt.I've got what looks like a red blister on my vagina on pubic bone area. Im hoping that it is because my skin is dry and ive been scratching a bit. Im really suffering with anxiety. Im really scared that something bad is going to happen. Im really embarrassed any help/advice would be appreciated gratefully.

Where exactly is the blister? Your vagina doesn't reach as far as your pubic bone. Your vagina is in the middle of your labia and you can't see the inside of it.
Do you mean the area where your bikini line is- where you have pubic hair?

Chuffinghormones · 30/09/2014 16:42

Yes my description was a bit off. Just stressed out.

so where is it?

Red blisters on your bits can be anything- from a spot to herpes- any chance it's that?

Ingrown hair?

Chuffinghormones · 30/09/2014 17:24

I only have one blister and its where you have pubic hair. Its not herpes.

Is it a blister, or is it maybe a spot from an ingrown, or pulled hair? Is it itchy? Is the skin round it inflamed? And does it look like it has clear fluid in it (like a blister), or is it a hard lump?
Sorry to sound like I'm interrogating you, but it could be several different things.....none of which necessarily need you to panic at all.

Chuffinghormones · 30/09/2014 17:42

It looks like a blister red around the outside. It's not itchy now its tender to touch :-(

How do you know it's not a spot?

How long has it been there?

pinkfrocks · 30/09/2014 17:48

Blisters are not usually red- they are raised with clear fluid in them.

Dumpylump · 30/09/2014 17:51

If it's red round the outside then I suspect it's more likely to be a spot. Is it squishy, or hard? A blister you can feel fluid under the skin, where a spot will feel more like a teeny hard pea.

I don't know that its not a spot, blood blisters are red are they not?

It came yesterday but before that I was itching down there because I have dry skin so maybe I have scratched a bit hard and caused it myself

Funnily enough I was having a conversation about this very thing the other day (!) My Mum's menopausal and has had blood blisters in the same area. She went to the Dr but they said it was normal and nothing to worry about.

Chuffinghormones · 30/09/2014 18:16

Oh thank you so much pro really appreciate it was really worrying me
