Does anyone else get palpitations?

I'm going through an early menopause. I've got irregular periods, bad mood swings and hot flushes. The last week or so I keep getting palpitations too, is this all part of it?

Yes I have always had palpitations from my early 20's but they have become more troublesome since I became perimenopausal. Mine are at there worse at night, but this week I have had more during the day.
My doctor said that they are caused by hormonal fluctuations.
I did see a cardiologist to check they were benign as I have a congenital heart defect

Magnesium can really help with this. Mine have stopped in a week.

Yes, I've been getting them for some time, along with exactly the same symptoms as you. The other thing is, I can't seem to stop eating, particularly carbs. I'm not even hungry but just keep stuffing my face. This really isn't fun, is it?

Yes I suddenly started getting them, it's what made me think I might be peri menopausal as I've never had them before and heart was all checked out and fine xx
