Perimenopause and increased hunger?

I am only 44 but i've been told for a while i'm in line for an early menopause due to my hormone levels.

I've not had a period in nearly 3 months - longest stretch yet - and my hunger feels huge. I fight it - I exercise a lot and I am very conscious of what I eat a lot of the time, but whereas in my thirties I found this all quite easy, it's the biggest struggle not to keep eating.

Is this a normal symptom? And can anyone suggest anything I can take?

Thanks

Scan Bran :) It's awful, the hunger and weight gain really. And so is Scan Bran really. I put weight on hand over fist last year, and had to go to fat fighters in the end to get a control on it. Still shedding last year's fat and will be for quite a while I think.
