Hi I'm 45 yrs old, very over weight :-( and haven't had a proper period for nearly a year, just spotting here and there. Previously I'd had horrendous periods flooding painful and for 8-10 days at a time. So tbh having them disappear was great, however over the year I have bad pelvic pain and back and leg pains. I have no appetite and feel nauseous and I struggle to eat. When I try to force my self to eat I feel stuffed and bloated sometimes even just after having a glass of water. Oh and I look pregnant! Even tho I'm not eating I haven't lost weight at all. I'm mega tired all of the time you know that bone tiredness in the first trimester of pregnancy. Is it related to the menopause has anyone else experienced these symptoms just feeling very low :-( so any ideas would be great. TIA x

Have you spoken to your dr about this at all?

I think you really need to see your GP and they might refer you for a scan. Bloating, loss of appetite, and so on can be a sign of something quite serious, such as ovarian cancer, or even a large ovarian cyst, so you do need to go and get yourself checked out.

Not trying to worry you but you should go and speak to someone about this.

Thanks for your reply pinkfrocks yeah I suppose I should go to Drs. It's just tiring when you're fat cause that's all they see, but I can't lose weight even tho some days I'm eating nothing at all cause they wouldn't believe me!!!! I'll try and find a 'nice' dr and force myself :-(
