I'm 46 and have always had a very regular cycle of about 28 days. Had a period two weeks ago and now seem to have come on again ffs. is this what it will be like from now on, periods every two weeks? I'm going away soon and was thinking my period was die at start of the holiday so had got some pills from gp to delay it but not sure what to expect nowSad Sad Hmm Hmm

Sorry to tell you that you won't know until it happens.

It's not likely that you will have a period every 2 weeks- you'd end up anaemic if you did.

what is more likely is that they will become irregular some of the time and regular for some of the time.

You might not have another short cycle now for years...no one can predict. or you might have 6 weeks cycles, 3 week cycles, cycles 3 months apart- no pattern but you are quite young so if they do go totally haywire think about HRT.

Thanks Pinkfrocks. It's just taken me completely by surprised after always having been so regular. I'll just have to wait and see then and always be prepared!
