Hi. I am just 36, but for the last several mths my periods seem to fall one on top of the other. I checked. They have gone from around 28-30 days to around 21 (actually, I am cramping today and it is 21 days since I started spotting with the last one), and that's the other thing, they seem to start with cramping and spotting (heavier discharge), and then flood for about 3-5 days (I also think I have a prolapse as I seem to lose little lying down but literally flood when I stand up), then ease off for next few days. The whole thing lasting around 10 days all told... Which with the next one 21days ish after the start of spotting means about 2 weeks maximum in between. Added to this horrible "my life is a failure and not worth it" pmt. I feel pretty yucky, and constantly anxious. I put this anxiety down to being a depressive person generally and some stress I experienced well over a year ago, but if am honest it has been like it, with no change for 2 years. And it isn't depression. So might be connected? I have family history (the older generation have all had hysterectomies). Worth bugging the dr? Or ok to start before 40. The post on here suggests getting any symptoms checked if under 40, but am only just under.
Has anyone any experience of this. I knew I was bleeding more, but until I had recorded a few, I hadn't realised quite how close they were. Sex drive also sucks. I mean I am up for it for about 3 days a mth some mths none at all... But then it seems to just switch off (like this week... Last weekend and beginning of week, quite up for it... By yesterday unable to reach orgasm (blushing at my openness!, not sure dr will get to know that!).. Any self help tips much appreciated!
Also sorry for only posting on mumsnet when I need something!
