Anyone got the mirena coil and taking estrogen?

I've had the coil fitted to help with peri symptoms but I am having lots of other symptoms. Next The Dr is going to offer me some estrogen. Has anyone else got this combination?

My GP suggested it but I really don't like the idea of the coil so I have resisted so far. How have you found the coil, I read so many mixed things about it that I'm really not sure it would help.
