Does anyone else suffer with this .. is it a common symptom ?
I have fibromyalgia and I'm wondering whether the menopause is exhaserbating my discomfort. It's really getting me down & affecting my daily life.

Have you had your thyroid tested recently? Times of hormonal upheaval are when things tend to go awry thyroid-wise and achey legs is a major symptom of that. Also anaemia, vitamin deficiencies etc.

Yep, had thyroid tested & apparently all normal. I've put on a lot of weight but I guess that's all to do with wonky hormones. I've started taking Vitamin D tablets.

There is a thread on the powersurge invisionzone website about sore legs. I also get this. I am sure it is hormonal.

i get sore calves. i really struggle when i get up from a sitting position. didnt think it could be menopause related, but I am 49 and my periods are somehwat erratic.

Sad i am not 49 yet , I am still 48

I'm peri-menopausal and it's my feet and ankles that ache. When I stand up after sitting for a while I virtually hobble and I'm only 47! I think that could be a weight thing though.
