Ridiculously sore and tingly boobs since mid cycle - sign of menopause?

Could this be a peri menopausal symptom? It's really painful - I do sometimes get sensitive boobs before my period but this has been about 11 days now and my period is due sometime between Saturday and Monday. I have had unprotected sex with my partner but am thinking it is unlikely to be a pregnancy at my age (48) and he is 53.

Yes, tender boobs can be one of the myriad symptoms of the perimenopause, and yes symptoms can be related to cycle. Have you any other menopausal symptoms?

Well i'm exactly the same when I've ovulated.. I don't ovulate every single cycle but always know when I do as the run up to my period is a pain in the arse with sore boobs and whatnot.

however if this is new for you then yes you need to test just to rule it out.
