My GP has just told me I'm in the menopause. My FSH is 32, my oestradiol is 59 and progesterone 0.8. All day 5 blood work.

Am shocked. Didn't see that one coming.
I have regular periods, every 30 days like clockwork. All the signs I'm ovulating, but my bloods, apparently, show that I'm not ovulating at all.
I really thought menopause was when your periods stopped, with perimen when they start to space out, become irregular etc.
Very confused. Can anyone shed light?
I'm 46. My only child is 8.

Yes you are right - menopause is when your periods end and perimenopause is the time around that.

Hopefully the above website will be helpful. I understand hormone tests are not totally reliable on their own.
