Just wondering whether anyone else has experienced this? I'm just 50 and am sure I'm in perimenopause as been having heavy periods for 3 years which are more frequent and last longer. Also, being grumpy before period!!
For the past 6 months I've started getting like a period pain a week before my period is due, then it goes once the period is over. Just recently, one month I've had a period after 21 days (no pain before), then the next one is 28 days (but having the pain before). This month, I've just ovulated and the pain has started already. I had an ultra-sound scan a year or so ago and it showed a small fibroid measuring 1 cm but nothing else, except a bicornuate uterus. It definitely seems to happen with my cycle and my tummy seems to rumble around when I've got the pain. I've googled everything until I know it all off by heart - from endometriosis to fibroids to ibs.
I've seen the GP who just says there is nothing serious and it should resolve after menopause but it is worrying me. I seem to be okay in between which is reassuring but I'm sure my hormones are up the creek and it's all getting me down!
If anyone has had anything similar I'd be grateful if they could let me know :-)
