I am just turned 53 & on Saturday it will have been a year since I had a petiod..so I feel I should matk the occasion somehow but not sure how. Been lucky so far symptomwise. Suppose I could have contraceptive free sex but feel a bit meh about that. Any ideas?

Go to a spa with loads of treatments, swimming, etc that would be impossible with a heavy period.

Camping.

There was a phase of 'pink parties' for girls who had started their periods.

Don't know what colour you would go for for ending them though Hmm.

A spa day sounds more fun.
