Hi I'm 48 I was steralised 19 yrs ago after my 4th child. Over past couple of months I've missed 2 periods my stomache is swollen I need a wee all the time breasts are tender and I squeezed nipple and fluid came out my sex drive has increased a lot is this memapause? Please help!

Yes, probably.

Conception in the late 40s is possible, as is conception after sterilisation. But neither is impossible, so I suggest you POAS as to exclude/confirm the possibility.

But menopause is a time of hormonal shift and weird things do happen. Breast tenderness is common, as is alteration to libido and general patterns of weight gain and where it clings to you.

Have you done any pregnancy tests?
