I'm 38 and having a premature menopause. I'm having quite a few of the classic menopause symptoms and blood tests have confirmed this. I was diagnosed a year ago. As yet i haven't started HRT although my doctor advised it at time of diagnosis. As well as my typical meno symptoms i also have a problem with hair loss. This started around 4 years ago, when i suspect meno was starting. My hair is dry, dull and brittle and breaks easily. It's frizzy and unmanageable. Iv'e tried lots of different conditioners and oils but nothing works. This past few week s the hair loss has got worse. Loads falls out when i wash it and i notice it laying on my clothes and on the floor. Iv'e been tested for anaemia and thyroid and all fine so it must be meno. I was wondering if taking HRT would remedy this and restore my hair to how it once was which was thick, shiny and healthy ? Has anyone else had this problem and if so has taking HRT fixed it ?
