Is this a symptom of the menopause?

I am 50 years old, and I noticed about five months ago that my urine smelled really strong. I feel fine otherwise, no cystitis, and no other menopause symptoms.

I have the same, same age too. It's revolting.

Do you think I (we) can assume it's a hormone thing and not worry about it?

It's nothing I've ever heard of linked with menopause. Make sue you are drinking enough water because it shouldn't really smell unless it's really concentrated. The 'rule' is it should be very pale in colour and if not you need to drink more water .

I found that. Then I had a kidney stone and discovered I should be drinking far more - straw coloured urine like Missbopeep says.

No problems since (except I need the loo a lot!)

I kept a glass of water by me constantly (plus usually teas etc) until I could work out how much I needed.

Ok, will try and drink more water during the day and see if it clears up. If not, I guess a trip to the GP is in order :-(
