Hi I was on depo contraception for four years so no periods . I had symptom of menopause hot sweats then shivers , tingling feeling lower spine , crying, palpatations, discharge ,insomnia. ,constant weeing, anxiety, panic attacks, feeling like I couldn't face day to day living . Dr wanted to give me anti depres but I was convinced it was menopuase symptons . After months of feeling like I was having a breakdown I was internally examined and was told you are menopausal your cervix is thinning and I was given a blood test . Levels came back very very high so this dr said yes def menopause . My own dr said no your depo would effect results its not accurate . I insisted on hrt and was given low dose prempak. I have been on it 4 months and have felt so much better but this month all the horrible feelings are creeping back , insomnia and anxiety and palpatations are the worst and the tearful feelings . Worrying about everything . I have stopped the depo and am having periods due to the prempak I'm on . Has anyone else had similar experience to me . Apart from the examination and blood test and symptons that's all I had to go on as the depo did stop my periods so not sure If I would of had them still . I'm depo free since aug . The periods I'm Getting on prempak are also very heavy . Don't know what to do next ? I'm 43 and my mum went through change at 39 x
