Hi. I've read through some of the threads here and have already learned a lot (every day a school day on MN 
).
I'm 50, had an endometrial ablation three years which didn't work. Had period as normal in May, then nothing until two weeks ago. Bleeding has been continuous since Aug Bank Hol Monday and flooding since Thursday last week.
Doc has today given me tranexamic acid and norethisterone and told me to come back on Friday, by which time he reckons it should have stopped.
My options are more surgery, or what GP said was "bleed free HRT". I'm not keen on more surgery, simply because it didn't work first time round but nor am I keen on starting HRT as I get every side effect going from any medicine that I take. I have to have cyclizine with any prescribed medicines as they all make me sick (we think there's something in whatever they make tablets out of that disagrees with me).
I'm completely in the dark and need info / other's experiences. For instance, I had no idea you make HRT from equine by-products and as we are a professional horse household there is no way I would countenance that.
help please!
