How to know?

I know that I'm peri-menopausal, although 'symptoms' are mild and manageable. Earlier this year I had an endometrial ablation to treat the heavy periods I'd been having. This has resulted in almost no periods. (Yay!) But how will I know for sure when I'm actually through the menopause?

Age is one way- I think the stats are something like by age 54 80% of women are through it.
Hormone tests- though they are not accurate day to day so you need a few over a couple of months.
When you have no more symptoms- though this is not really a good way to judge because some symptoms start a few years after a final period.
