Bloated heaviness being on HRT

Am on HRT patches (last month or so) and I m feeling, these past two months like my abdomen is very bloated and heavy. Everything seems a bit more.. well ... Swollen (including my vulva..sorry tmi). The patches are oestrogen only. Can oestrogen have this effect?

it's usually the progestins that cause bloating.

Have you had a hysterectomy so you only need oestrogen? You could try a lower dose perhaps.

I have the mirena coil so dnt need other additional progesteron

What are you on and what is the dose?

You need to give it 3 months, but it's possible that the dose- unless it's a low-dose patch- is too high for you.

Was on everil and now hv changed to Estradot. Both are 50mcg. Bloatedness going after switching
