Ok, so for the last few months I ve had weird stuff going on with my body and I ve had enough!!!!! Please help!

So I have.....

  1. night sweats like you wouldn't believe - physically dripping!
  2. mood swings- anger - depressed and lacking in patience.
  3. sudden drop off in sex drive (most unusual)
  4. stiff hands - Doc says Reynauds. TMI
  5. I have a coil but weird large amounts of discharge with blood clots.

Went to Reiki/Homeopath lady who was brilliant during pregnancies and births and she said early menopause! This was from my feet, had mentioned none of the symptoms to her.
Am really confused - surely I m too young?
Mum was 47 - I m 36!!!
Please give me some advice - I m slightly side swiped but am fed up with all the above symptoms! Shock

I think it would be worth going back to your GP. Changes in bleeding should always be investigated.

Yes, other symptoms (other than the stiff hands) do sound like menopausal ones, but under 40 is very young (though not impossible). Best be checked out, and if menopausal this young then discuss HRT.

Have you been to a regular GP? Those symptoms need proper investigation. Homeopathy is quackery :(

englishteacher78 · 02/06/2013 09:41

Tbh. I wouldn't trust a homeopathic diagnosis. At best they offer placebo treatment. Go back to actual doctor.

bamboostalks · 02/06/2013 09:43

Go to a GP and have a blood test.

pooka · 02/06/2013 09:43

See a proper doctor - get blood tests done.

Guadalupe · 02/06/2013 09:44

Your doctor will be able to tell you from a blood test.

MissMarplesBloomers · 02/06/2013 09:45

Yes a simple blood test will confirm, then you can work on the symptoms.

TBH a complimentary therapist should NEVER diagnose, even if they suspect (& are often right!) something.

I would have said more along the lines of "wow seems like your hormones are all over the place why not get checked out by your GP"?

We are not doctors, & this is why complimentary therapists get a bad press. Grr -sorry bug bear of mine!! Sorry.

Hope she was wrong but get seen, are you due a coil change?

Joycey29 · 02/06/2013 09:46

Will book into Doc - just wasn't sure what they would be able to do. I didn't know whether I was fussing!

Hi Joycey, I'm only 38 and am having my blood test next weds to confirm whether I'm menopausal. My cycle's erratic, my mood swings severe and for at least 2 weeks out of the month my concentration is zero! I can't focus or get organised and am very clumsy. It's very frustrating as this is not like me at all! I'm hoping it is menopause as at least it would give a reason for this sudden change in me. Have you seen a gp yet?
