I'm 50 and went to GP with symptoms of 'brain fog', low libido, lack of motivation and general depression. (I had PND and PMT so think the depression is likely hormonal too.) Test said I was late menopausal though I still get irregular periods.
I have been prescribed prempak c (medium dose) but have been googling and it doesn't look that great. Should I go back and ask for a different type, and should I consider going private? How much would it cost to go private? I can also see that the symptoms I have might be related to low testosterone too but I am guessing that might be hard to get prescribed on the NHS.
Any advice?

If you are tested and have low testosterone then I recommend AndroFeme - it's Australian and you can buy it online for shipment to the UK from makers Langley Pharma. They have a helpful flow chart to see if you are symptomatic on their site. It's a very low dose testosterone cream designed for women. Hope this helps. I can't advise on the prempak however.
