Hi .just joined so bear with me .Have been on elleste duet 1mg for 3 months,white pills were fab but green ones made me feel horrid so dr put me on femoston-conti.Havnt started them yet im a bit nervious read up on them and you cant take them unless you havnt bled for 1 year ,i havnt bled for 8 months .The elleste were meant to make me bleed but didnt ,i did tell my dr this but she perscribed them anyway ,can anyone give me any advice or put my mind at rest .By the way i am a very tired 49 year old who just wants to feel normal again .

Yes you should have been given Femoston 1/10 or 2/10 if you haven't been one years without a period or if under 54. I would go back and get the cyclical version.

The thing is the conti won't do you any harm but if you are still peri then the fluctuations in your own hormones can cause irregular bleeding which is annoying, so it is better to keep a cycle when you will generally know when the bleeding will be.
