Is there any point in seeing GP?

I'm almost 52 so almost certainly peri menopausal. I've had symptoms for a while - eg insomnia, mood swings, sore breasts (mainly lh side) and a few erratic periods but nothing that means I can't carry on with day-to-day activities.

Is there therefore any point in discussing this with my GP unless I feel I need HRT (which I don't at the moment). The symptoms are annoying, but essentially it's a natural occurrence, so not sure that I need to see a doctor unless I'm missing something here, o'r of course if symptoms worsen.

No.

You only need to see a dr if you want medication or reassurance about the process and don't understand what is happening.
