Anyone tried Menopace?

Doctor has just out me on these as he doesn't want to go down the HRT track unless a last resort, has anyone tried them, and any results on reducing hot flushes?

If so, how long did they take to start working please?

My dr recommends them women trying to come off HRT or who can't take HRT for medical reasons.

I'd query why your dr does not want to give you HRT except as a last resort- because the most recent research shows that given straight after the meno to women who are aged under 60, the benefits ( short and long term)outweigh any risks. see www.menopausematters.co.uk- check it's not org or com! written by a gynae.

what are your dr's reasons for withholding treatment?

To be honest I am in Morocco and I was quite happy to accept his initial recommendation. If it doesn't work then I'll push for HRT. Just wondered how long I could expect before I got some result, or not, as the case should be and if any one had had any experiences.

I think it takes a few weeks- have a friend who uses it, but she had very minor symptoms.

Thank you fingers crossed!

I started taking it to help with the hot flushes and it really does seem to help.
