bleeding post menopause

I have been through the menopause and not had a period for about 2.5 years.

Yesterday I noticed some light bleeding which got heavier through the day. This morning it is fairly heavy and I have slight discomfort which feels like very mild period pain (I always had very severe period pain)

Is this usual? ? I thought that if you had no periods for 12 months that was it Confused

Anybody any ideas?

You Must see your Gp asap.

How old are you?

If you are under 50, then it is most likely a hormonal blip- but if you are 55 + then it's potentially more serious.

It might be nothing, but bleeding after meno is the first sign of uterine cancer. You will probably be referred for a uterine ultra sound scan, and possibly a biopsy.

I am 54. Its not a period and it's getting heavier unfortunately. Thanks for your help and I'll go and see my GP as soon as they are open.
