Hi - not sure which section to post this, but could not seen any discussion on this when I searched. Has anyone any insight into whether thermography ( whch sounds considerbaly less painful), or indeed doing nothing is a better option than mammograpy where there are no symptons?
TIA

I had my first routine mammogram recently (no symptoms) and was called back. I discussed this with the doctor and was advised that they are a waste of time. Based on theory that cancer cells are hotter than normal ones. They said it wouldn't have picked up the calcium deposits that I was being investigated for.

Mammograms were briefly painful but just bearable as was not for too long. I would say just do it!

Mammos are not that painful. All over in seconds. And TBH the whole point of them most of the time is to check that all is okay despite there being no symptoms. Tiny tumours cannot be felt.
