Is this the sign of early menopause?

I'm 32 with a history of early menopause on my DM side of the family. My Nan, Mum and her 2 sisters all started in their mid-late 30's. My periods have always been regular as clockwork (when not on the pill) every 4 weeks and last around 6 days however for the last couple of months they have been every 21 days and lasted 4 days. Myself and DH would like to have another DC in the next year or so but I'm worried that it may be too late. We were very lucky in that I concieved DS 4 years ago in the 1st month of us trying. Am I starting to go through menopause?

I suggest you ask your GP to refer you to a fertility clinic. Even if you are starting the peri menopause you can still get pregnant and fertility specialists can help, for as long as you still have periods. Peri menopause can last for a couple of years - during which you still ovulate. Do get some specialist advice though - if you have been trying to conceive for a year without success, then you are eligible for fertility treatment on the NHS.
